Backlite-double Curvature

This machine is used to produce small radius, big radius automotive glass, usually for back-lite of automotives.

Glass types can be tempered: clear glass, colored glass, patterned glass, tinted glass, screen printed glass (should be with the ink which can be tempered).

Brief Introduction

1.1. Loading section

The loading section includes transmission rubber rollers and loading positioning device and etc.. According to different glass type and size, adjust the loading positioning device to a suitable place and put on the glass sheets, ready to enter the furnace. During the glass entering, the rubber rollers move on by load transmission motor and convey the glass to heating furnace. When entering course is over, operator puts the next glass sheet well, ready to next entering.

1.2. Heating section

The heating section includes the roof lifting mechanism, heating system, compressed air jet system, ceramic rollers, driving system, emergency cooling system, the glass length and temperature measuring devices.

The heating furnace is divided into upper and lower parts. The upper furnace can freely move up and down by the roof lifting mechanism for easy maintenance. The roof lifting mechanism is composed of set of screws, bevel gear, reduction device, motor, upper and lower limit switches and safety protection devices.

The upper and lower parts of the furnace are heated independently in each heating zone. Each heating zone has its thermocouple forming an independent control loop.

Advanced matrix “talent control” process is unique and special designed for temperature control system, which ensure the precision and even/balance of temperature control to best state and situation.

For the temperature measurement we adopt the most advanced and latest “modularization” central collection process, which highly improve the precision and good reliability of temperature measurement, as well decrease 80% failure rate if comparing with the normal measurement method.

Inside of heating oven, at top of oven there will be installed compressed-air jet system. which not only can ensure the much more homogeneous temperature, top quality of finished glass flatness, but also to have “convection” result, so it is quite suitable for more kinds of glass tempering, such as coated glass, heat reflective glass, hard low-E glass etc..

The ceramic rollers system is driven by round belt. Each ceramic roller is separately moved by individual belt, but all the belts are conveyed by same one set of transmission system, which can ensure simultaneous and stable running, and avoid the scratch and destroy of glass when above the rollers.

When the glass is entering the furnace, drive motors will make the rollers in the loading section and ceramic rollers simultaneously running, conveying the glass into the heating furnace.

When the glass is heated, the main drive motor (namely ceramic roller transmission) will make the ceramic rollers do reciprocating movement, air convection system start to work, so that the glass can be heated evenly.

When the glass is exiting the furnace, the rollers in the forming section and the heating section run simultaneously, conveying the glass to flat or bend tempering and cooling section.

The emergency cooling system on top of the furnace is used to cool down the oven quickly by the control button in operation panel when necessary, such as some failure occurs in heating oven, or maintains state.

1.3 Bent section with moulds

The moulding section is composed of supporting mould, pressing mould, heating system, transmission roller with fiber rope etc. The heated glass is transported to moulding section, after moulding, the supporting mould will transfer the glass for tempering and cooling.

1.4 Cooling section

The cooling section consists of upper quenches, lower quenches, transporting mechanism, etc. The upper and lower quenches are separate and adjustable structure, which is suitable to produce glasses of different variety. The transporting mechanism brings the supporting mould along with the formed glass to cooling section for urgent cooling and then cooling.

1.5 Unloading section

The unloading section consists of sucking device, transporting rollers, position limit device, etc. The tempered glasses are sucked up by vacuum suction device and then put on transporting rollers. The conveyer will sent the tempered glasses out of the cooling section, and then operators will unload the glasses.

1.6. The blower

The blower system includes the blowers, blower inverter, air control device, air valve for bent section, air valve for flat section, air collector, air adjusting devices for upper and lower quench and air channel. This system is used to supply cooling air to quench. The air volume in the upper quench and lower quench can be automatically adjusted according to the products quality, making the quality of tempered glass optimum.

During cooling time, the blower can run at different speed according to technical requirement: When thick glass is tempered, the blower runs at lower speed. After the glass has been tempered, the blower runs at high speed to supply forced air and cool the glass more quickly. If the glass is thin, then high speed should be used at the beginning to get needed air pressure, and lower the speed after that, which can save energy consumption.

1.7. Control system

The control system mainly consists of temperature control, transmission control and blower system air pressure control, which is finished work by two sets of computer system: Advantech industrial control computer for upper position (Main computer) and Omron PLC for lower position (assistant computer). All the peripheral equipments (including electric measuring elements and their executive element) are products of world famous company. The hardware configuration is reasonable and of the advanced technology.

The control software for this series glass tempering furnaces is strong and reliable. The comfortable man-machine dialogue brings the operator high proficiency. Input test and output adjustment pages make the maintenance and test much easier. Equipment failure detecting and recording function provides sufficient basis to the maintenance personnel.

All the process parameters can be saved and called freely, such as glass thickness, size, type, color and etc. When produce the required glass the first time the system will automatically save the data that have been set. If you want to make the same glass next time, all the related parameter can be called.

The driving system use inverters. Each part can be operated on-line and controlled by computer.

Features

1) Advanced forming method, reasonable processing and technology. The glass forming is performed in high temperature, avoiding energy lost in the course of forming. In addition, due to adopting mechanism transfer there is no cold air in the heating chamber, which greatly lowered energy consumption and improved the tempering quality and successful product rate.

8) With independent forming chamber. In heating oven there is no cold air, which can reduce more energy consumption, and improve glass quality.

9) It can make glass with small radius, big radius automotive glass or some irregular radius glass.
