Continuous Type Flat Tempering

This machine is continuous type, glass will be processed in only forward direction without reciprocation movement,suitable for processing large quantities of high quality solar glass, electronic home appliance glass, home glass, building glass,etc. Under such machine, the popular size is not very big. Glass types can be tempered: clear glass, colored glass, patterned glass, tinted glass, screen printed glass (should be with the ink which can be tempered), hard low-E glass (should be with the film which can be tempered, usually E ≥ 0.1), soft low-E glass (Only by convection type machine ) (should be with the film which can be tempered, usually E≥0.02 ), etc.

Description

Brief Introduction

This machine composed of loading section, heating section, tempering, cooling section, unloading section, blower system and control system.

1.1 Loading section

The loading section includes rubber-coated rollers, loading drive motor, photoelectric switch, supporting frame, side loading rubber coated rollers, etc.. Chains, transporting the placed glass to the photoelectric switch before the front door of the heating section, ready to enter the furnace, drive the rubber-coated rollers. The drive motor for loading is driven by AC inverter. During loading, the motor drives the rubber coated rollers running at slow speed. When glass is entering the furnace, the transmission motor drives the rubber coated rollers running at high speed. The photoelectric switch will measure and record the length glass entering the furnace. Supporting frame and side loading rollers are used for loading larger glass.

1.2 Heating section

The heating section includes two sections, each section has the roof lifting mechanism, heating system, thermal balance system, ceramic rollers, cooling system, the length and temperature measuring devices. Driving system is specially designed, which can insure each part move independently or synchronous. The heating furnace is divided into upper and lower parts. The upper furnace can freely move up and down by the roof lifting mechanism for easy maintenance. The roof lifting mechanism is composed of set of screws, bevel gear, reduction device, motor, upper and lower limit switches and safety protection devices. The upper and lower parts of the furnace are heated independently in each heating zone. Each heating zone has its thermocouple forming an independent control loop. The thermal balance system can adjust the temperature automatically according to the glass thickness and size ensuring homogeneous temperature in the furnace and the flatness of tempered glass. The drive mode of the ceramic rollers is by belt. All the ceramic rollers can be driven by the same shaft, which can ensure simultaneous and stable running. When the glass is entering the furnace, drive motors will make the rollers in the loading section and some part of the ceramic rollers in heating section simultaneously running, conveying the glass into the heating furnace. When the glass is heated, the main drive motor drive the ceramic rollers run forward only. When the glass is exiting the furnace, the rollers in the forming section and some part of the heating section run simultaneously, conveying the glass to tempering and cooling section. The cooling system on top of the furnace is used to cool down the oven quickly when necessary.

1.3 Tempering and Cooling Section

The tempering and cooling section includes two parts: high pressure part and cooling part. Both parts include transmission rollers, the upper and lower quenches, quench open/close mechanism, upper quench up & down mechanism and air hose. The nozzles of the high pressure part are specially designed. The quench of the cooling part is of separated ladder-type combination structure. Entwined around transmission rollers are special fiber which can endure high temperature. The rollers are driven by chain and the inverter can insure the same speed of different section. The upper quench up & down mechanism can adjust the height of the upper quench very easily. The upper and lower quenches will automatically close during cooling and open after cooling. Conveying rollers to tempering and cooling section conveys the heated glass. When 3-4mm glass is tempered all the blowers in the high pressure part and the cooling part are on. The glass go through and be tempered in the high pressure part and go forth to the cooling part to cool. Then the tempered glass is transferred to unloading section.

1.4 Unloading section

It’s primarily the same as the loading section. After cooling, the glasses are conveyed to this section. The glass stop automatically when reach the end, then the operators unload them by hands.

1.5 Blower system

The blower system includes the blowers, control cabinets (or blower inverter), air valve for flat tempering, air collector, air adjusting devices for upper and lower quench and air ducts. This system is used to supply cooling air to quench. The use of air collector is to guarantee homogeneous air pressure in every part of the quench. The air volume in the upper quench and lower quench can be automatically adjusted according to the products quality, making the quality of tempered glass optimum. When use inverter the blower can work in different speed according to technical requirement: when temper thick glass the blower run at lower speed, after the glass has tempered the blower run at high speed to cool the glass more quickly. If the glass is thin then use high speed at the beginning to get needed air pressure and lower the speed after that. This can save energy.

1.6 Control system

The control system consists of temperature control and transmission control. Advantech industrial control computer is chosen for main computer and Japanese Omron PLC for assistant computer. All the peripheral equipments (including electric measuring elements and their executive elements) are imported products. The hardware configuration is reasonable and of the advanced technical level.

The control software for this series glass tempering machine is powerful and reliable. There are Main menu, parameter setting, fine-adjust, auto-temperature increase, maintenance and other page. The comfortable man-machine interface brings the operator high proficiency. Input test and output adjustment pages make the maintenance and test very easy. Equipment failure detecting and recording function provides sufficient basis to the maintenance personnel.

Features

1) The control system consists of industrial control computer and PLC. The main parts of the driving control system are imported one. High automation made the machine reliable and efficiency, precise and easy to operate.

2) Conveying speed of loading, heating and cooling section are all controlled by inverter which can assure the different section run in the same speed. This can avoid scratch on glass surface.

3) Reasonable design and unique structure of heating elements make a long serve life.

4) There are automatic heating balance system which can adjust automatically according to the thickness and the size of the glass, insuring glass heated evenly and quality of tempered glass.

5) Insulating materials are exported one with perfect performance. It needs only 4 hours to rise temperatures from 20℃ to 700℃. When the outer surface temperature of oven is not more than 45℃, Natural decreasing rate of temperatures is less 15℃/h. The installed power is small and the cost is low.

6) The heating furnace is divided into upper and lower parts. The upper part can freely move up and down by the roof lifting mechanism for easy maintenance. The ceramic rollers are imported one, the quality good and serving life long. The ceramic roller can be taken down and put on very easily. Cooling system shorten oven cooling time greatly.

7) The software is powerful and it’s very convenient to operate, to maintain and to adjust.

8) The whole production procedure is controlled and monitored by computer, which insure the machine efficiency and high automation.

9) the furnace works continuously, the glass quality is better and productivity is very high.

10) Glass is conveyed and processed at continuous forward movement direction, without making reciprocating.

11) More times the length of heating oven and air quench sections than normal popular type of glass tempering machine, can make the glass be heated to the needed temperature in one-way movement, and be tempered and cooled quickly.

12) During the production process, the blower works continuously and effectively, with obvious energy saving effect.

13) Heating and cooling process does not need reciprocating swing, which can greatly reduce quality defects such as white fog, scratches and waves.
